For this exhibit, I have the privilege of being in conversation with Ms. Aanchal Malhotra, an oral historian and bestselling author. Her acclaimed book, Remnants of the Separation, portrays a human history of the Partition through objects refugees carried with them across the border. Its sequel, In the Language of Remembering, focused on the contemporary relevance of Partition in the everyday lives of Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis. She is also the co-founder of the Museum of Material Memory.
